Way to go, girl! I think a lot about the importance of how a child's life starts as to how they turn out. So many children have a bad home life and end up in prison later on. I love your approach and wish you all the best in your endeavors.

This is many years in the making, and I know (and have known since the beginning) you are going to change the world!

Hoping your website will work as a tune up for all who visit it....Maintenance. Prevention, that's what you practice. Keep inspiring!

I went through your web pages with a huge smile on my face, all along thinking of the wonderful work you've done and the great things that you will accomplish with your efforts. Love, understanding, hope, education, drive, morals... all that make a community and world great start from the heart to the home/family and spreads to all. This is an "infectious" cause that I will spread to my friends and colleagues. Thank you and God bless. FYI, I'm involved in helping my friends with efforts to feed the hungry urbanfarming.org and No Hate anti-bullying program jimmylocust.com

I wish you all the luck in the world! Its time that you get noticed and rewarded for all the many volunteer hours, and wonderful things you have done throughout your life to make a difference and help others. You are unique, very intelligent, and one of the nicest and most caring persons I know. I am very lucky to have met you and have you as my best friend. Keep up the good work, and GOD BLESS YOU AND HELP YOU make your vision come true.

The concept of prevention has been lost in the society of America. We are a society that likes to dispose of things, be they objects or people through prisons or facilities. Prevention is the best method of creating a better and more caring society. You are working hard at this and will make the break through. Do not give up on your endeavors and your dreams. Best of luck and remember it is a small group of people who make a difference in the world, and you are the leader of that band.

This was great reading. My aunt (Pamela Carter) asked me to check out your website. She is aware of my current position in the field of HIV prevention. I can agree with everything stated here. Prevention is the key...trying to unlock the door to all those who are unaware/unwilling is the struggle...where do we find the WD40 for a smoother entry! Keep up the great work

Yes, preventing Humpty Dumpty from taking a great fall is better than trying to put Humpty Dumpty together again, as all the King's men found out years ago. Early and effective intervention is the concept I would use. And that is why I have invested an enormous amount of time and energy into the March of Dimes and the Healthy Start Coalition. This work led me to develop the ACCION USA microlending office here in Miami. So, if we can prevent something bad from happening, that is good. If we can learn to intervene productively when something goes wrong, that is good. However, as a social worker, I suspect you also understand that we need to be there with effective and efficient interventions whenever thing go wrong. Conceptually we need to always be involved with activities that will eventually make our interventions unnecessary. To wit, I think too many of the 6000 NGOs that have been working in Haiti all these years concentrated on repair activities without investing in the long-term skill development that will build and maintain the infrastructure that will allow Haitians to determine their own destinies. Good luck with your project.
